Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Office in a key governance support role, working closely with senior colleagues to help deliver effective decision-making across a range of important University boards, committees and pension scheme groups.
The post offers a varied and rewarding workload, combining high-level administrative support, meeting and event coordination, document and records management, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with regards to pension schemes.
It would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive and motivated by working in a professional environment where accuracy, discretion and strong coordination are essential.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an organised and dependable administrator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities to a high standard. They will be confident in supporting senior colleagues and formal governance processes, with strong written communication skills and experience of preparing or coordinating agendas, papers, minutes or reports.
The candidate should be comfortable handling confidential information, building effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and improving administrative systems and processes.
A proactive approach, sound judgement, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively will be key to success in this role.

The University Finance office supports business planning and innovation to maximise the financial resources available to the University and create the long-term sustainable financial platform required for future growth. The role is campus based however staff can opt to work under the Finance Office’s current hybrid policy where a maximum of 40% of time (2 days per week for full time staff; normally Tuesdays and Fridays) can be worked remotely. This is subject to review and operational requirements. Whilst in the induction phase you’ll be required to work 100% in the office. Further details are available on request or at interview stage.
