Support student records and academic administration at a specialist performing arts institution

Are you an organised administrator who enjoys working with data, records, and digital systems?
Rose Bruford College is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide short-term administrative support across our Student Records and Programme Administration teams. This is a varied fixed-term role, with the majority of day-to-day support focused on Student Records activity.
You will help maintain accurate student records, support data input and checking, respond to routine queries, and assist with key administrative processes that support students and colleagues across the College. The role would suit someone who is confident working with digital systems, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys providing a responsive and professional service.
About Us
Rose Bruford College is one of the UK's leading specialist higher education institutions for theatre and performance. Based on our Sidcup campus, we prepare students for careers across the creative industries and support a vibrant community of academic and professional services staff.
As a smaller institution, every member of staff has the opportunity to make a visible impact. You will work across departments, build strong relationships, and contribute to the smooth running of essential student administration.
Is This You?
We are looking for someone who is organised, accurate, and comfortable working with records and digital systems.
Experience using a Student Records system, CRM, HR, finance, case management, or similar database/records management system is essential. This does not need to be in a higher education setting. If you have maintained records, entered data, or checked information within another business system, we would still be keen to hear from you.
You might be a great fit if you:
· Have experience entering, maintaining, or checking records within a digital system.
· Are confident using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
· Have strong attention to detail and take pride in accurate work.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues.
· Can work with tact and diplomacy when handling queries.
· Are organised and able to manage your workload effectively.
· Enjoy working as part of a team.
· Are motivated to provide a helpful and responsive service.
· Can follow processes carefully and ask sensible questions when something is unclear.
It would be an advantage if you have experience of, or an interest in:
· Student records or student administration.
· The student lifecycle, including registration, enrolment, mitigation, or graduation.
· Working in higher education, further education, or another regulated environment.
· Supporting data quality or checking information across different systems
What You'll Be Doing
As Administrative Assistant, you will provide practical administrative support across Student Records and Programme Administration, including:
· Supporting the maintenance of complete and accurate student record data.
· Inputting data as required and as directed.
· Liaising with academic and professional services staff to support the collection of timely and accurate information.
· Providing information from the student record system to colleagues where required.
· Supporting the production of student and staff ID cards.
· Updating registration and attendance records on the Student Loans Company system.
· Supporting updates to term dates on the Course Management Service.
· Responding to routine queries from teams such as Programme Administration,
Admissions, and Finance.
· Assisting with ad hoc requests such as transcripts, replacement certificate requests, and
education verification requests.
Working With Others
You will work closely with colleagues across Student Records, Programme Administration, and other professional services teams. You may also liaise with external stakeholders such as Student Finance England regarding student attendance.
This is a collaborative role, and you will be supported by colleagues who understand the systems and processes you will be working with.
