The Opportunity
Our client is a leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractor delivering major programmes across the UK's utilities, water, transportation, energy and environmental sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and long-term frameworks in place, they are seeking a Contract Administrator to support the successful delivery of multiple high-profile infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in contract administration, commercial support, change management or project controls who is looking to develop their career within a major project environment.
The Role
Reporting into the project team, you will provide essential support across a portfolio of live contracts, ensuring contractual communications, notifications and change management activities are administered accurately and in accordance with contractual requirements.
Working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders, you will help maintain robust contract governance, improve visibility of project changes and support the management of contractual risk and opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Provide contract administration support across multiple projects and contracts.
Manage and maintain change management processes, ensuring all changes are accurately recorded and communicated.
Prepare, issue and monitor contractual notices and communications.
Support Project Managers in the application of best practice contract management procedures.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records using contract management systems and company processes.
Ensure contractual obligations, deadlines and governance requirements are met.
Assist with the identification and management of contractual risks and opportunities.
Maintain clear documentation and auditable contract records.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across contract administration and project controls functions.
Requirements
Experience in contract administration, commercial support, change management, cost management or a similar project-based role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Desirable Experience
Understanding of NEC and/or IChemE contracts.
Experience using CEMAR or similar contract management software.
Background within construction, infrastructure, utilities, engineering or major project environments.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of project risk and opportunity management.
