About the Scheme
This two-year fixed-term programme provides you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy data department.
You will:
Work in a live operational and fast paced setting
Receive full training and ongoing support from the Student Data Management data team
Work on meaningful projects with real impact
Develop a broad set of transferable professional skills
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Graduate Trainee, you will be trusted with genuine responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to the University’s operations. Your role will include:
Supporting the delivery of departmental objectives and key projects
Supporting the creation of student timetabling for the university
Assisting in data analysis and statutory reporting
Contributing ideas and innovative solutions to improve processes and services
Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and priorities
Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff and students
Supporting key University activities such as Open Days, Clearing, Graduation, and events
Ensuring compliance with University policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
About you
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic graduate who is keen to learn, develop, and make a positive contribution.
You will:
Be a recent graduate of the University of Greater Manchester (minimum 2:2) from 2024/2025 or 2025/2026.
Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
Be confident using Microsoft Office and digital tools
Show the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Be proactive, adaptable, and willing to take on new challenges
Have an interest in developing a career within a professional services environment
A willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a commitment to personal development are essential.
