Job description
As a Senior Learning & Development Advisor, you’ll make a visible impact across Hafod by leading learning and development initiatives that strengthen capability, leadership and culture.
You’ll act as a trusted partner to managers and senior leaders, shaping development approaches that support our strategic priorities and reinforce our values and behaviours.
Working as part of the Talent and Resource Development team, you will:
- Lead and support the L&D team, creating a positive, highperforming environment that reflects Hafod’s behaviours
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, leaders and external partners
- Design, deliver and evaluate inclusive, engaging blended learning solutions (virtual and facetoface)
- Lead leadership development programmes that build confidence, capability and future succession
- Support early talent, performance management and career development frameworks
- Embed tools such as Insights Discovery to support selfawareness, communication and team effectiveness
- Champion a culture of learning, development and continuous improvement
- Use insight and evaluation to continuously improve the impact of learning at Hafod
What you’ll bring :
We are looking for someone who is not only technically strong in learning and development, but who is also deeply aligned with Hafod’s values.
You’ll bring:
- Experience working in a senior L&D or organisational development role
- Confidence designing and delivering impactful leadership, talent and learning programmes
- Experience of leading or supporting others, helping teams grow and succeed
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- A collaborative approach and the ability to translate organisational needs into practical learning solutions
- CIPD Level 5 qualificationor working towards or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience using tools such as psychometrics (e.g. Insights Discovery) is desirable
This role involves regular travel across our sites and services. While a driving licence isn’t essential, many of our locations are not easily reached by public transport, so being able to drive and use your own vehicle is often the most practical way to travel.
If you use your own vehicle for work, you’ll need appropriate insurance (for example business use).
If you don’t hold a licence or don’t have access to a vehicle, we’d still encourage you to apply. We’re happy to have a conversation with you about how you could still meet the travel requirements of the role.
