Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to join our Sherburn-in-Elmet operation. This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, where you'll provide a comprehensive HR service while playing a fundamental role in supporting the delivery of the site People Plan, aligning culture, talent, structure and processes. Supporting a large and diverse workforce across a 24/7 operation, you'll work closely with site leadership teams to create a high performing, engaged and compliant working environment.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support and actively drive site culture, working closely with senior leaders and operational teams to enhance the employee experience across all stages of the colleague lifecycle
- Lead talent, succession planning and performance management activities, supporting development plans, appraisals and the annual performance cycle across the operation
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, TUPE, redundancy, performance and absence cases, managing more complex matters when required
- Support managers through coaching, training and development initiatives, helping to build capability and confidence in people management
- Drive HR projects, engagement initiatives, people analytics and continuous improvement activities while deputising for the HR Manager when required
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a Senior HR Advisor, HR Advisor or HR Generalist role within a fast-paced operational, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of UK Employment Law, employee relations processes and complex case management
- Experience supporting talent management, succession planning, engagement initiatives and organisational change activities
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and challenge constructively at all levels
- Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified or above, with excellent organisational skills and a passion for developing people and driving positive change
