Job description
As HR Projects Lead, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of people‑related elements of key MCA programmes and strategic projects. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will work collaboratively across HR and the wider organisation to ensure high‑quality, consistent, and compliant HR project delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisational change, develop meaningful HR initiatives, and support improvements to employee experience across the MCA.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Lead and support HR components of organisational change, talent management, engagement initiatives, and HR system improvements.
- Coordinating HR activities such as job evaluation, contract changes, recruitment, managed moves and redeployment.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including plans, reports, risk logs and communications.
- Track progress against milestones, sharing updates with HR colleagues and project sponsors.
- Conduct research and benchmarking to inform evidence‑based decisions.
- Identify risks and propose solutions to the HR Business Partner.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, data protection and MCA policy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and beyond, including Directors, senior leaders, volunteers, the Government Legal Department and DfT Group Policy.

Person specification
Required experience:
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
- CIPD Level 5 (or willingness to work towards it), or equivalent HR experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR legislation and best practice relating to both employees and volunteers
- Experience of reviewing and implementing new or revised policies and procedures
- Demonstrable experience of managing people processes through organisational change.
- Leading and implementing people based projects
