Job description
Sitting between an HR Manager and HR Administrator, this position has been created due to business growth and an increasing HR project pipeline. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to take ownership of advisory-level responsibilities while also getting involved in wider HR initiatives.
You’ll work closely with the HR Manager, acting as a key partner in delivering a proactive and people-focused HR service across the UK, with exposure to international sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
- Act as a key point of contact for HR queries, providing timely, practical and commercially focused advice
- Partner with managers to coach and guide on employee relations matters, policies and best practice
- Manage a range of ER cases including disciplinary, grievance and performance processes end-to-end
- Support absence management, ensuring a consistent and fair approach across the business
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Deliver end-to-end recruitment across a variety of departments
- Support hiring managers with advertising, shortlisting, interviews and offers
- Manage and maintain the ATS, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
- Contribute to a positive and engaging onboarding experience
HR Operations & Projects
- Take ownership of probation processes, ensuring reviews are completed and tracked effectively
- Support key HR cycles including performance reviews, compensation and engagement initiatives
- Lead on offboarding processes, including exit interviews and insight gathering
- Play an active role in HR projects aligned to the wider people strategy
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR
- Support the development and optimisation of HR systems
- Produce and analyse HR data (absence, turnover, ER trends) to support decision-making
- Training & Development
- Deliver training to managers on HR policies and procedures
- Support learning and development initiatives across the business
About You
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
- Confident managing employee relations cases independently
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion
- A confident communicator who can build strong relationships at all levels
- Proactive, approachable and solutions-focused
- CIPD Level 5 and/or exposure to international HR (e.g. US) would be advantageous but not essential.
