Head of Mobilisation

Job description

As a Head of Mobilisation, you will lead the end-to-end mobilisation of major programmes and contracts, ensuring projects transition seamlessly from concept to operational delivery. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape mobilisation strategy, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure operational readiness across a complex engineering programme.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Leading mobilisation activities across multiple programmes to ensure successful and timely delivery
  • Driving mobilisation strategies, governance, and planning frameworks across projects
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve operational readiness and performance targets
  • Managing risks, resources, and stakeholder engagement throughout mobilisation phases
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements

 

Essential experience of the Head of Mobilisation:

  • Demonstrating leadership experience within programme delivery, mobilisation, or project management environments
  • Managing complex, large-scale projects within engineering, defence, or infrastructure sectors
  • Driving stakeholder engagement across senior internal and external partners
  • Applying strong governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks
  • Leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment

 

Qualifications for the Head of Mobilisation:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in related discipline
  • Project or programme management qualification such as Association for Project Management or equivalent (desirable)
