IKEA Systems
Weekend Customer Warehouse Assistant
£13.45
hourly

Job description

If you are looking for a role where you get to develop your skills and passion in a warehouse/fulfilment role, and co-create the wonderful everyday with our many in-store guests, we would be happy to hear from you.

We have a 12-hour contract working in our Self-Serve Warehouse. This is a customer-facing role. If you have been to an IKEA store before, you'll know this is the area before the check-outs where customers collect their products. This is a mix of warehouse/fulfilment work with good customer service, so a passion for both is important!

WHAT WE OFFER
• The interviews will be between 11 and 17 June.
• Start date of employment will be Saturday, 04 July.
• Hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• Availability to work two 6-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
• These are permanent contracts where you will be working throughout the year, including the holiday periods.
• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

WORKING WITH US HAS ITS REWARDS
Our co-workers bring unique ideas and skills to work every day and we offer a variety of benefits that suit their and their family's everyday needs.

• 15% IKEA discount on IKEA products, and access to a Discount Portal to help you save hundreds on High Street retailers.
• End of year gift, generous annual leave entitlement for you to enjoy holidays, and family friendly policies.
• Life Assurance of 4 times your pay, enhanced statutory pension contributions and interest free loans.
• Proud to be a Living Wage Employer.
• Free car parking, a cycle-to-work scheme and season travel ticket loan.

...as well as so much more!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Proven experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate actively in group efforts.
• A strong customer service mindset, and the passion to be helpful and attentive to customers as they navigate our Self-Serve Warehouse.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• You will be maintaining the Self-Serve Warehouse, which means condensing and moving stock, supporting customers with their questions, and making sure that IKEA's flatpack products are accessible, stocked and ready for our customers to purchase.
• This is a physical role as you will be manual handling of heavy stock.
• Working with or around heavy machinery and tools, such as counterbalance and pump trucks, and flatbed trolleys, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.

WE CARE FOR THE PEOPLE
It takes the diversity of thought, background, and culture to make great ideas a reality. We welcome candidates from all walks of life, including those with disabilities, to join us and feel valued in the workplace.

Come see the wonderful workday where we create a better everyday life for the many.
