Job description

The role leads how the brands show up on Social Media, working with in-house creators and restaurant teams to deliver reactive, culturally relevant content that drives discovery and engagement.

You’ll bring enough content creation experience to confidently shape creative, make informed decisions on speed-to-post, and step in to create content directly when needed.

 

Key accountabilities:

Own the end-to-end Social strategy for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, in partnership with the Head of Social, from launch through to scale

Bring a deep understanding of Social Media culture, trends, creators, sounds and formats, translating them into ideas that feel native to the platform and right for our brands

Identify opportunities, trends and cultural moments that the brand can move on at speed

Work fluidly with the in-house Content Creators, with the capability to step in and shoot, refine or publish content directly when timelines or cultural moments demand speed

Partner closely with restaurant teams to unlock authentic, behind-the-scenes moments that perform well on all channels

Collaborate with the wider Social, Content and Marketing teams to ensure Social Media activity aligns with brand and campaign goals

Provide clear, insightful updates to stakeholders on what’s working, what’s not, and how we evolve

Use performance data to continuously refine strategy, formats and creative approach

 

About You:

Proven experience as a Social Media Manager either (agency or in-house)

Demonstrable experience in restaurant, food or hospitlaity content

Background in content creation that enables confident filming and editing

Deep understanding of Social Media culture, trends, creator ecosystems and platform mechanics

Strong copywriting skills with a natural feel for tone, humour and internet language

Confident using social media management and analytics tools.

You’ll already be a pro with both a camera phone and DSLR camera, plus able to edit your own images and videos to create premium results

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at pace
