Main Purpose of The Role:
As a Data Analyst, you will support BCA’s UK Remarketing Operation by delivering insights that improve efficiency, quality, and planning. Working within the central Decision Intelligence function, you’ll collaborate with analysts and draw on shared teams—Data Engineering, Data Science, Reporting Services, and Data Partnerships—to ensure consistent, high‑quality analysis. This role helps drive smarter decisions and unlock opportunities for growth in an increasingly data‑driven automotive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide key stakeholders with analysis and reports to drive business performance. Communicate findings of above analysis with clear recommendations. Work with peers to ensure that all analysis, reporting, and dashboards are accurate, optimised and are as efficient as possible throughout the entirety of the data flow
Build a good understanding of the BCA remarketing business by developing relationships with key stakeholders and build understanding of how data and insights can support improved business performance
Support the Lead Data Analyst with delivery of quarterly priorities while balancing ad hoc requests from the business
Build relationships and a strong understanding of the broader teams within Decision Intelligence e.g. Data Integration, Data Science and Reporting Services so that the most relevant support and tools for analysis can be utilised in the delivery of insight solutions
Take ownership of continuous professional development & keep up with rapidly changing data industry trends
Collaborate with the wider Analysis & Insights team to share learnings and best practice and participate in team discussions and wider business projects
Produce and maintain Local Work Instructions for all reports produced to ensure business continuity
Knowledge and Experience Required:
Expertise in using data to unlock business opportunities and drive improved business performance
A curious mind and good analytical skills with the ability to tell stories with data and explain the rationale to stand behind recommendations.
Experience in working with business stakeholders and with an ability to use their understanding of the business to proactively shape their analysis.
Entrepreneurial/ growth mind-set person with track record of building their own technical and soft skills
Demonstrable ability to proactively provide analysis and insight to stakeholders
Must be comfortable with ambiguity as the business evolves and grows.
Experience in working with a variety in quality of datasets.
Knowledge of SQL to manage and analyse data
Ability to use Power BI, with knowledge of DAX
Excellent communication skills, including the confidence to present to senior managers
Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a desire to take ownership of projects
