Job description

You will be expected to:

As the team already have the technical accounting expertise in house, this position is going to be much more business partnering oriented.

Check accruals and challenge these with budget managers.

Assist with grant claims.

Assist with reconciliations.

Communicate financial language with budget managers.

 

Successful candidates:

Must have a strong background in reconciliations.

Must have a strong background in grant claims and accruals.

Must be a strong communicator and have prior experience challenging budget managers.

Must have local government finance experience. Preference would be specific local authority experience but also happy accepting candidates with backgrounds in NHS, Housing Associations, Police, Fire, Charities, Education etc.

Do not necessarily need to be fully qualified. The client are also happy to consider part qualified or AAT.
