Job summary
A unique opportunity has arisen to work in an administrative role across the Rapid Response Team and the Bladder and Bowel Team. Both roles require the successful candidate to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in line with our ICORE values.
Administrative support for the Rapid Response Team will include answering of telephone calls, updating the electronic patient record and working with a large multidisciplinary team, including nurses and therapists.
Administrative support for the Bladder and Bowel Team will include answering of telephone calls, booking and changing appointments and updating the patient record.
At present administrative support for the Bladder and Bowel Team will be required on a Monday and Tuesday between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00. Administrative support for the Rapid Response Team will be on a Wednesday 08:00 until 18:00. However some flexibility will be required.
Main duties of the job
Bladder and Bowel Team
Provide administrative support to the Adult and Children's Bladder and Bowel Team
Contribute to the smooth running of the home delivery service
To schedule clinics and room booking
Rapid Response Team
To provide administrative support to a Senior Clinical Decision Maker as part of the single point of access
To answer phone calls from patients, carers, families and professionals
Supporting both therapy and nursing staff in an administrative capacity
Monitor team email inbox for urgent NEAS and therapy referrals
Both roles will require the ability to use EMIS as an electronic patient record. Previous knowledge of this system is desirable.

The post holder will be responsible for directly supporting the Rapid Response Team and the Bladder and Bowel Team. The post holder will be expected to complete a range of administrative duties as required to meet the service needs.
Support the delivery of the Rapid Response Team Single Point of Access
Support the home delivery service for the Bladder and Bowel Team
Support the booking of clinics and appointments for the Bladder and Bowel Team
Support the provision of an efficient and effective service
Provides administrative support and maintains records
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
Desirable
NVQ Level 2 or above in business administration
Experience
Essential
Experience of using EMIS and/or an alternative electronic patient record
Skills

Excellent communication skills
Ability to competently use Microsoft word, power point and excel
