About the role

The Postgraduate Education Administrator is part of a collaborative team supporting the Ada Lovelace Academy - a hub for computational MSc programmes dedicated to increasing representation of women in the engineering and technology fields. By 2030, we aim to achieve gender equality in all our MSc programmes which focus on data science, machine learning, and AI and are offered by the Department of Earth Science and Engineering. This post is for a 12-month fixed-term cover and is available immediately.

 

What you would be doing

You will work closely with the Postgraduate Education Manager, Director of Postgraduate Studies (Taught), Director of the Ada Lovelace Academy, and wider Education Team, being responsible for programme administration from admissions to assessment - with a particular focus on the application of coding and scripting skills and the proficient use of digital tools to enhance education delivery and streamline administrative process.

 

You will ensure the smooth operation of academic process, support students, academic, teaching and professional services staff, and enable continuous improvement of the student experience.

 

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced administrator who is proactive and collaborates effectively as part of a team:

Experience in an administration role within a large organisation

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to students and staff at all levels and build rapport

Meticulous and well-structured administration skills including a high level of accuracy and consistent attention to detail

Practical experience of coding, scripting, digital automation or low-code development

Technological proficiency: comfortable working with a wide range of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps) with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
