£110,000.00
yearly

Job description

An ambitious, Private Equity-backed Consumer and Multi-Asset business is seeking a high-calibre Finance Director to join its leadership team during an exciting phase of transformational growth.

With revenues of c.£40m and EBITDA of c.£10m, the business has built a strong platform across the UK & Ireland and continues to scale through an aggressive buy-and-build strategy. Backed by an experienced PE sponsor, the organisation remains highly acquisitive, with a strong pipeline of opportunities and a clear value creation agenda.

This appointment represents a pivotal hire for the group and offers the opportunity to work closely with an established and highly experienced CFO to help shape the next stage of growth, operational maturity and strategic execution.

The Finance Director will operate as a true number two to the CFO, playing a critical role in both the strategic and operational leadership of the finance function and wider business.

The successful individual will lead the professionalisation and transformation of finance end-to-end — strengthening controls, enhancing reporting and FP&A capability, driving data and AI-enabled improvements, and creating a scalable finance infrastructure capable of supporting continued acquisition-led growth.

The Role:

Alongside core finance leadership responsibilities, the role will have significant exposure to M&A activity, including deal execution, financial due diligence, integration and post-acquisition value creation. The Finance Director will also play a key role in future transaction activity, including potential refinancing, debt/equity raises and an eventual exit process.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded finance leader seeking broad exposure within a high-growth, PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner closely with the CFO to support the strategic and operational development of the business

Lead the transformation and professionalisation of the finance function across controls, reporting, governance and FP&A

Drive financial and operational performance insight across multiple business units and assets

Enhance management information, KPI reporting and forecasting capability to support data-driven decision-making

Lead finance-related data improvement initiatives, including systems optimisation, BI capability and AI-driven enhancements

Play a central role in acquisition activity, including financial due diligence, deal support, integration planning and post-deal execution

Support value creation initiatives across the group, helping drive scalability and operational efficiency

Lead the restructuring, development and upskilling of the finance team, including hiring high-performing talent where required

Partner with senior leadership and operational stakeholders to influence performance and drive accountability

Support future refinancing, debt/equity raise activity and eventual exit preparation alongside the CFO and investors

The Requirements:

The business is seeking a technically strong, commercially astute and highly credible finance leader capable of operating effectively within a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.

Key requirements include:

ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent professional finance qualification)

Demonstrable leadership experience, including building, redeveloping and upskilling finance teams

Experience operating within a Private Equity-backed and/or acquisitive multi-asset environment highly advantageous

Strong exposure to M&A activity, particularly acquisition integration and post-deal execution

Excellent technical finance capability combined with strong commercial acumen

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change across complex business structures

Experience improving controls, reporting processes and finance infrastructure within a scaling business

Passion for leveraging data, systems and technology to improve performance and decision-making

Resilient, adaptable and comfortable operating within a high-growth, evolving environment

The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary, bonus and long-term incentive opportunity, alongside the chance to play a key leadership role in a dynamic Private Equity-backed growth story with significant exposure to acquisitions, refinancing activity and future exit events.
