About the role

Do you have excellent organisation skills and would like to develop a career in programme administration and management? We are seeking to appoint an Education Administrator to work within the Education Team in the Department of Surgery & Cancer supporting our portfolio of iBSc specialisms.

 

What you would be doing

You will provide comprehensive, administrative and management support to ensure the efficient delivery and smooth running of our education programmes, specifically within our portfolio of 12-month intercalated BSc specialisms. You will work closely with the Programme Lead and Academic team, establishing good working relationships with academic and administrative staff within the Department, as well as other staff across the Faculty of Medicine (FoM) and University central services (including the Faculty Centre and the Undergraduate School). In this role you will be required to establish good working relationships with external academics including external examiners and project supervisors. As a key point of contact for enquiries from students and staff on these programmes, you will also be experienced and able to work independently to resolve problems as required, reporting to the Programme Leads and Senior Education Administrator on progress and outcomes.

 

What we are looking for

Educated to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent and/or professional experience related to the work of the post

Excellent organisation and time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads

Proven experience of supporting degree programmes in a higher education, healthcare or public sector environment

Excellent communication skills with a keen understanding of customer-focused student support

Experience in timetabling teaching, coordinating marking and moderation; programme management
