Based in our St. Austell office with hybrid working available, you'll be an essential part of our commercial team, helping to maximise value and ensure processes run smoothly. What will you be responsible for?
As a Commercial Assistant, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful outcomes for our client. Your day to day will include:
Assisting with job costing and cost feedback for a variety of projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Liaising with delivery managers and depot feedback clerks to ensure all paperwork is complete and submitted on time
Recording and monitoring labour, plant, and subcontract costs across the contract
Verifying work order outcomes and generating reports from Power BI, analysing data to provide clear narratives for management and clients
Supporting the payment process for sub-contractors, ensuring deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained
What are we looking for?
This role of Commercial Assistant is great for you if you:
Have excellent IT skills and feel confident working with computers, particularly Microsoft Excel
Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and can build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
Are methodical, organised, and have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Can prioritise your workload effectively and work both independently and as part of a supportive team
You have high levels of literacy and numeracy skills, and a desire to see tasks through to completion
