Central to the Equinix strategy is our mission to identify and grow the digital ecosystems that are crucial to the way business operates today. The Equinix Business Development organisation is the owner of these important ecosystems. We provide strategic direction and thought leadership across key sectors, working to attract the most important providers and secure the customers and partners who maximise the value of our platform.
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business Development to help grow and shape our Capital Markets ecosystem. Across EMEA, Equinix is the home of electronic trading and the ecosystem that surrounds it. We are the primary location for exchanges and venues where low-latency trading thrives. The successful candidate will be someone experienced in this area, someone who understands the role that colocation data centres and infrastructure play in supporting the low latency exchanges and trading firms.
This is a high-impact, individual contributor role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, builds trust quickly, and is energised by solving complex problems with creativity and speed.
The role marries a unique blend of industry expertise, strategic thinking, commercial skills and program delivery. The successful candidate will need to be able to work effectively and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders – both internal and external. You will need to set a clear vision and drive to exceed results.

Key Responsibilities
Build, outline and execute a vision to drive our strategic engagement with the Capital Markets ecosystem.
Be the subject matter expert in areas including low-latency trading, high-frequency trading, the infrastructure platforms that support the sector and have a broad knowledge of the important exchanges and buy & sell side ecosystem members that are crucial to the market.
Have strong knowledge on the some or all the multiple asset classes that we host. Including equities, fx, fixed income, currency, commodities and digital assets.
Work alongside colleagues in go-to-market functions to design and execute strategies that will achieve ecosystem growth. Key targets are centred on ecosystem size & growth and new wins.
Lead strategic engagements with major exchanges and trading firms, building trusted relationships with industry leaders and innovators, whilst developing a visible thought leadership presence in the market.
Build and scale out new and compelling use cases that will deepen our partnership with important customers, grow the ecosystem and Equinix enabled infrastructure.
Translate industry and customer needs into solution requirements in collaboration with Product and Technical Sales teams.
Provide competitive intelligence and customer insights to support new service development.
Develop economic & technology value analyses that demonstrate the incremental value of Equinix in the market
Build lasting partnerships with industry leaders and key commercial and technology decision makers.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and influence a wide range of individuals. Maintain open, positive internal communication with relevant colleagues in local, regional and global offices
Ability to influence without authority and work with senior leaders in Equinix to extend our strategic imperative around the segment.
