Job description
We're looking for ambitious and enthusiastic Assistant Project Managers to help deliver exciting transport and infrastructure projects in Cambridgeshire. From new walking routes to traffic calming to sustainable transport schemes, you'll help deliver projects that improve everyday life for thousands of residents.

What will you be doing?
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work alongside experienced project professionals to help plan and deliver transport and infrastructure projects across the county.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Support the delivery of projects that improve local communities.
- Work with engineers, contractors, councillors, residents and partner organisations.
- Help manage project programmes, budgets, risks and timescales.
- Support public consultations and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Prepare reports and project updates.
- Gain hands-on experience in project management and infrastructure delivery.
- Lead smaller projects as your skills and confidence grow.

About you

You might already have experience in:
- Project delivery or project support.
- Civil engineering or construction.
- Transport, planning or infrastructure.
- Coordinating activities and managing deadlines.
- Working with customers, communities or stakeholders.

- The ability to work collaboratively with different people.
