About the role
The Financial Accounting team is a high-profile, cross-CFU function, providing specialist financial accounting expertise across Consumer Finance and EE Limited. The team works closely with Group Finance and external auditors, supporting the delivery of accurate external reporting and ensuring strong financial control across the business.
This role plays a key part in managing the Treasury operations and liquidity of EE Limited, underpinning the financial stability of a business where the Consumer CFU represents a significant share. Alongside this, the role contributes to the broader accounting operations of the Financial Accounting and Controls team, supporting robust financial processes, compliance, and high-quality reporting.
What you’ll be doing
Manage daily cashflow, forecasting short and long-term liquidity requirements into the Group Treasury team
Ensure compliance with treasury policies, controls and risk frameworks
Oversee banking relationships for EE Limited, including governance with banks and internal approvers
Ensure balance sheet integrity, with ownership of key treasury-related accounts (cash, debt, intercompany)
Maintain accurate accounting for financing transactions, including loans, interest and FX hedges
Support the wider Financial Accounting and Control team across EE Limited, Plusnet plc and the Consumer element of BT plc
Essential Skills / Experience
Accounting qualification (part or fully qualified – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with a solid grounding in financial accounting principles and the ability to apply them in a complex, regulated environment
High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and completeness, ensuring financial data is robust, well-controlled and audit-ready
Strong understanding of treasury operations and financial accounting principles, including cash management, liquidity, balance sheet control and financing transactions
Desirable Skills / Experience
Experience of managing day-to-day operations, coordinating across multiple stakeholders and ensuring activities are delivered accurately and to deadline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify issues quickly and implement effective, practical solutions
