What You’ll be doing
We are seeking a Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative support to our Children, Families and Education service, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of essential services.
In this varied role, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties, including accurate data entry and record management, processing routine financial and administrative tasks, and coordinating meetings. You will also prepare agendas and take clear, accurate minutes, supporting colleagues and contributing to the effective operation of the service.
What we’re looking for
As a Business Support Officer, you'll bring excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to provide a professional, empathetic and responsive service to colleagues, partners and members of the public. You'll be confident producing clear reports, correspondence and meeting minutes, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in everything you do.
You'll be able to work independently and collaboratively to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and support the smooth running of the service. Strong numeracy skills are essential, enabling you to monitor data and carry out straightforward financial administration accurately, alongside a good understanding of administrative systems and procedures.
We're looking for someone with a recognised administration qualification at NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent experience), who is committed to equality and inclusion and able to recognise and challenge discrimination in the workplace or service delivery. You'll also be flexible to attend sites across the Borough when required, adjust your working hours to meet service needs, and communicate confidently in fluent spoken English to provide clear advice and support.
If you're ready to use your organisational skills to support vital services for children, families and education, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and become an important part of our dedicated team.
