Job Introduction:

This role reports to the Senior Group Accountant and works closely with the Deputy Group Financial Controller and Group Financial Controller as part of a highly skilled and professional Group Finance team. This key role will be responsible for accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting for the Group.

Main Responsibilities:

Monthly consolidation and preparation of Group results

Half year results consolidation and interim accounts reporting

Year end results consolidation and statutory financial statements including PLC consolidated accounts and 7 trading subsidiaries (all IFRS)

Consolidating the annual budget and preparing budget reporting packs

Providing accounting support to the operating divisions

Liaising with external auditors during the annual audit process

Supporting the timely completion of tax returns and payments

Reporting the cash position of the Group through accurate daily tracking and forecasting

Ad hoc projects / analysis as required

Candidate Profile:

Qualified accountant, ideally 1-2 years post qualified experience

Would suit a first-time mover from practice into industry

Ideally Big 4 / Top 10 trained

Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)

Experience with group accounts and consolidations would be helpful
