Job description

As part of the Engagement Management Community, you’ll lead the delivery of technology-enabled transformation projects across a variety of sectors and environments—including our rapidly growing Cyber practice. Our team is distributed across the UK and brings together a wide range of skills, from generalists to subject matter experts. What unites us is a shared commitment to delivering excellence and supporting the goals of the organizations we work with.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

As a Project Manager, you’ll receive the training and support needed to grow your career and make a meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Lead projects and programmes to deliver agreed outcomes, ensuring commitments are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering excellent service and confidently managing complex commercial and stakeholder discussions when needed.
  • Achieve engagement objectives, identify opportunities to add value, and contribute to business growth and sales activities.
  • Act as a Programme or Portfolio Manager, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective project delivery, governance, and financial management.
  • Partner closely with technical teams to support delivery governance, manage risks, and help recover projects that require additional support.
  • Collaborate effectively with global teams across multiple regions and cultures, including Europe, the USA, and India.
  • Support and develop project team members by providing guidance, coaching, and opportunities for learning while ensuring delivery against agreed targets.
  • Contribute to organisational improvement initiatives, helping to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and more effective ways of working.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

Your skills and experience

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Passionate about technology and its ability to create positive outcomes for organisations, with a collaborative and proactive approach to work.
  • Experienced in managing projects across the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong leaders who can guide teams effectively, navigate challenges, and support successful outcomes in complex environments.
  • Skilled at building and managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, with confidence and professionalism.
  • Able to provide clear, informed recommendations on project, programme, or portfolio finances, commercial considerations, and delivery approaches.
  • Experienced in working with clients across both fixed-price and Time & Materials (T&M) engagements.
  • Proven in delivering projects in line with contractual commitments and financial objectives.
  • Familiar with requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities to add value, support business development activities, and contribute to bid processes.
  • Committed to developing others through mentoring, coaching, and supporting project and engagement managers in their growth.
  • Experienced in people management, creating inclusive and supportive team environments where individuals can thrive and perform at their best.
