About the role:

This is a pivotal role within the Facilities team at the university, leading our frontline facilities service and playing an integral role in improving the customer experience. The postholder will provide leadership and strategic management of all internal operational facilities services across the University’s Preston Campus, ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery of all soft FM services by ensuring that internal facilities operations support strategic plans and student experience.They will act as part of the FM leadership team and act as a principal link between Internal Operations and other key services to ensure that the estate is maintained to the high standards

About you:

The successful candidate will have facilities management experience along with a positive and proactive approach to challenges. They will have strong people management skills and the personal drive to support the team with the aim of always striving to enhance the student experience and service delivery. Experience in a senior facilities or operational role providing excellent customer service in a busy and varied environment is essential as is experience of managing the delivery of all FM operations within a university environment including residential/living accommodation. using in-house staff and contractors. You will also hold an NVQ Level 4 qualification in FM or equivalent, and ideally have attained or be working towards a NEBOSH general certificate.
