The Senior Marketing and Communications Officer plays a vital role supporting the development and delivery of student recruitment, marketing and communications for the School of Society and Environment. The role is varied and includes working on the website, social media, email communications, print and digital media and events.

You’ll be part of a small team in raising the profile of your academic School, and support student recruitment activities and contribute to marketing and communications for a variety of audiences.

About You

You will have experience in marketing or communications, with an understanding of marketing strategies.

You will enjoy cross-function and collaborative working and working with multiple stakeholders.

You will have experience in developing web content using a content management system, creating and sending email communications via a customer relationship management system, managing social media channels and creating engaging content for a variety of media.

You will be a good problem solver with excellent IT and photo and video editing skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will have strong communication skills and enjoy working with multiple stakeholders and able to gain their trust.

You will bring great energy, an enthusiasm to learn and be part of the team and align with the values that make Queen Mary a wonderful place to work.

Knowledge and experience working in UK higher education would be beneficial.

About the School

We are recruiting for a permanent Senior Marketing and Communications Officer for the School of Society and Environment.

The role reports into the central Marketing and WP team, a part of the External Relations Directorate, whilst being based in academic Schools.
