Personal Trust is a client-focused Trust and Investment Management company providing financial planning and investment advice and services to clients planning for, or already in their retirement years.

Personal Trust offers a full range of financial services including: Investment & Portfolio Management, Offshore Financial Services, Trustee Services, Retirement Planning, Local & Offshore Money Market, Estate Planning, Tax Services and Wills. Personal Trust also offers its own Unit Trust funds to clients, and attends to the accounting and administration of said unit trust internally.

 

About the job:

This new vacancy has been created within our tax service team, at our offices in

Rondebosch. This role is responsible for SARS administrative support for the Tax team. It includes SARS administration for individuals and trusts, as well as the necessary tax compliance related thereto. Role is ideally suited to finance graduates.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Registration of trust and individuals for tax

Updating of tax representatives

Collating documentation for registrations and updating of tax representatives

Setting up and attending meetings at SARS (if required)

Arranging the transfer of efiling profiles to our own

Archiving and scanning documentation for audits

 

Key requirements for applicants:

Accounting graduate or accounting diploma a requirement, preferably with completed accounting articles

Tax background advantageous

Computer literacy (intermediate): MS Office suite and excel at an intermediate level, as well as relevant tax package knowledge and previous experience

Strong administrative and organizational skills

Ability to work independently

Attention to detail

Clear FIC checks (including credit and criminal checks)

Valid, unendorsed drivers’ licence and own vehicle are required
