Job description

You will be responsible for
  • I bring Tesco’s performance approach to life, ensuring it is clear, consistent and works well for colleagues and leaders at every level.
  • I lead the end to end Performance Cycle, owning how it is designed, timed and delivered so performance activities are meaningful and drive the right behaviours.
  • I own the Performance Cycle blueprint, setting out what good looks like for each stage of the cycle and providing simple tools and guidance to support high quality performance conversations.
  • I bring future thinking and external insight on how performance management can best support a strong, inclusive high performance culture, continuously improving how performance is experienced at Tesco.
  • I am the business lead for the Performance Management System, working with Technology to improve how the system supports performance today and how it needs to evolve in the future.
  • I enable talent and partnering teams to deliver performance activity well, setting clear expectations and ensuring a consistent, high quality experience across markets and functions.
  • I work closely with market talent teams to understand what matters most to their businesses, embedding the performance approach locally and improving it through ongoing feedback.
  • I work closely with Capability, DE&I and Workforce Planning to ensure our performance approach is connected, practical and aligned to wider talent priorities.
You will need
  • People/HR operational experience
  • Performance management experience
  • Stakeholder management and influencing experience
  • Experience leading across cross functional and cross market initiatives
  • Experience driving simplification and scalable process improvements
