The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) is the independent safety and economic regulator for Britain’s railways and monitor of performance on England’s strategic road network.

Job description

The Regulatory Finance team sits within the wider EFM directorate. We develop policy, monitor and report on rail industry financial and economic matters and we are also helping to develop the economic regulation regime of the Lower Thames Crossing project.

This Corporate Financial Specialist role will lead on corporate finance matters relating to ORR’s role on the Lower Thames Crossing. The job holder will play a critical role in helping influence the design of the economic regime in particular in relation to financing

The role can be based at any of our office locations: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York, Glasgow.

Additional Information

At ORR, our hybrid working means that we currently work from our workplace location a minimum of 40% of our working week, although requirements to attend other offsite locations for official business, also count towards this level of attendance. Working arrangements are subject to continuous review.

 

Qualifications

Do you have a Degree in Corporate Finance (a related degree with a module on Corporate Finance would be acceptable), or equivalent finance / accountancy qualification?
