About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering financial insight across multiple business areas ensuring robust financial control via balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, and internal and external audits.

 

The role includes managing supplier rebates across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. In addition, you will provide quarterly forecasting, retail GP analysis, inflation forecasts, and scenario planning to support senior management decision-making in a challenging economic environment.

You will act as a Management Accountant for a central warehouse and food preparation business, producing forecasts, monthly performance reviews and variance analysis to the FD.

 

What you'll be doing:

Calculation & raising of rebates earned in UK, Ire & Netherlands & implementing new contract terms. Regular communication with Purchasing / Commercial department and external customers, ensuring conflicts are resolved in a timely manner and rebates raised in line with documented processes.

Forecasting of income on a quarterly basis, working with & challenging HOD.

Implementation of tasking & ensuring risk / opp is communicated in a clear manner.

Management accountant for central warehouse and food preparation business. Responsible for producing an accurate forecast & monthly review of performance with variance analysis, communicating the result to the FD.

Monthly review of retail GP, collating & interrogating data & analysing variances such as waste & gap.

Calculation, review and forecasting of inflation across the UK business. Performing scenario planning for senior management and providing effective communication of forecasted impact.

Post monthly gaming machine rental, ensuring gaming duty reporting requirements are met.

Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for income and Procurement 2 U.

Lead internal & external auditors through controls & postings.

To be successful in this role you will need:

Qualified accountant or equivalent experience

Strong understanding of management accounting, forecasting and financial analysis

Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and audit processes

Strong analytical skills with the ability to challenge assumptions

Excellent communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Advanced excel skills

Previous experience with SAP or S4.
